Community Leadership Dinner
The Community Leadership Dinner (“CLD”) is the HBS Club of Atlanta’s annual event recognizing a prominent Georgia executive for both business achievements and contributions to the community. A partial list of past recipients includes: Ted Turner, Bernie Marcus, Arthur Blank, the late Roberto Goizueta, Truett Cathy, John Wieland, Jim Balloun, Frank Belatti, and James H. Blanchard, Ray C. Anderson, Dan Amos, Herman Russell and Alicia Philipp.
As with past CLD’s, proceeds raised from the dinner will be used to send Georgia non-profit leaders to Harvard Business School for a week of Executive Education focused on Social Enterprise, specifically its flagship Strategic Planning Prospectives in Non-Profit Management (“SPNM”) and Performance Measurement for Non-profit (PMNO) programs.
We are pleased to announce that our Honoree for 2010 is James Shepherd, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Shepherd Spinal Center.
We are actively soliciting corporate sponsorships for the dinner to help fund the scholarships. If you, or your company, would like to learn more about sponsorship opportunities or the event in general, please contact the Club at (770) 433-4137 or info@hbs-atlanta.org.
