Since 1983, Noro-Moseley Partners (“NMP”) has been a leading Southeast venture capital firm, bringing energy, connections and domain expertise to the strongest entrepreneurs in the region. Over the past 25+ years, Noro-Moseley has become an important part of the Southeast’s community of entrepreneurs and innovators, investing in more than 160 promising start-ups and early-growth-stage companies in the technology, healthcare and business services industries. While focused on generating significant returns for investors, Noro-Moseley works hard to be the entrepreneur’s partner of choice in the Southeast.
Charlie Moseley founded NMP in 1983 and served as a general partner in the Firm’s first five investment funds. Additionally, he serves as Chairman of NMP’s Advisory Committee. Previously, Charlie was a Senior Vice President and Director of The Robinson-Humphrey Company, Inc., a major regional investment banking firm in Atlanta, Georgia and now part of SunTrust. Under his management, this department grew to become the leading corporate investment banking operation in the Southeast.
Charlie currently oversees NMP’s investments in Gas Components Group, PGA Tour Superstore, nuBridges, Netuitive and LearnSomething. In addition, Charlie currently serves on the boards of the Georgia Tech Foundation, Metropolitan Atlanta Boys & Girls Club, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School and Teachers Retirement System of Georgia. In 2004, he was inducted into the Georgia Technology Hall of Fame. Charlie received a BS in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from our very own Harvard Business School.
Come and hear how Charlie Moseley architected and shepherded Noro-Moseley’s creation and development, his philosophy on venture capital investing and his outlook for the somewhat maligned Atlanta venture community as well as for Atlanta’s emerging companies in these trying times.
