The mission of Girl Scouting is to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. As the premier leadership development organization for girls grades K-12, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, Inc. serves over 41,000 girls and almost 18,000 adult members in 34 counties throughout Northwest Georgia. As a result of the dedication and commitment of nearly 60,000 members to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, more than 1.5 million hours of service has been reinvested in our communities. Ms. Midyette brings over 30 years of best practices from the for-profit world to the non-profit arena. Her responsibilities as CEO include creating operational efficiencies resulting in increased financial capacity and delivering a more consistent quality of service throughout the organization’s jurisdiction. Prior to joining the Girl Scouts, Ms. Midyette spent her career in finance and technology, most recently serving as Regional VP for Sprint Communications. She is a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia where she received a Bachelor of Science degree and has served on a number of non-profit boards.
